Snarlytooth Dragon Beer Mug

Don't fill it too full or you can't sit it down? But then, who'd want to sit it down!? 😉

This Dragon Rhyton holds 20oz of your favorite beverage and is 8 inches long from top of cup to the nose (Bottom). The opening is about 3 1/2 inches wide, from the top of the head to the handle stands about 6 1/2 inches tall when sitting up.

Valentine's Day Cards for you

I made some silly Valentine's Day cards last year for you to download and/or share and thought I would post them again if anyone is interested  There are printable PDF cards and animated GIF versions (5 second loop). 🙂

Below is the link to the PDF, animated GIF, and Photoshop files on Google Docs. The cards are designed to be printed on letter-sized paper and then folded in half. If you have a double-side capable printer, use landscape and two-sided-book as the selections. There are standard size envelopes available for this size if you want to actually send cards in the mail.

Link to downloadable files: http://goo.gl/vKnQN

All of the images were CC licensed or marked for personal use. Links and credit are on the back page of the printable cards.

Dalek Words

I really like this text treatment Dalek. My favorite part is how they used the word "bump" on the body. 😉

Seeing it all again, for the first time. Kari Tedrick

In December, +Kari Tedrick posted a beautiful silhouette image of a tree with the sun behind it (http://goo.gl/Lm8Ff). The sun, framed by the branches, formed a subtle but discernible heart shape. Starting with this image, I added the words from her website that start her profile, "Seeing it all again, for the first time." To celebrate her birthday, I wanted to post what I imagine her first coffee table book might look like. She will totally get there and I want to sign up for an advance copy right now.

Happy Birthday Kari! It's after midnight, but it still counts. 😉

Today, Feburary 4th, is World Cancer Day

St. Baldrick's Foundation, working to conquer childhood cancers, sent me a message today containing this video. It is sobering to hear that in the three minutes it takes to watch the video, a parent will hear that their child has cancer. I have supported St. Baldrick's in the past and hope to support them more in the future. They definitely tug on my heart-strings as a parent.

Videos like this are definitely a priority and attitude readjustment.

This photograph was posted by +Kari Tedrick back in July '12 (http://goo.gl/hnFAH) with the title, "I Hate Moo-ndays!" Her original text was "Do these tags make my ears look big?" To celebrate her birthday (today!) I wanted to post it again, but I played with the words a bit. I hope you enjoy it Kari, and nom some birthday cake for me!

Duck, Duck, Ruse

Okay, so I almost did not post this. I got ducked. Again. I think it's a sinister frame job along the lines of, "He ducketh protest too much!" But, (1) these little zombie ducks are too cute to hide away, and (2) innocence and justice will prevail!!!

Just saw another zombie ducking at +John Maloney's stream (http://goo.gl/Dkfg4) – who I just learned is all kind of zombie awesome. If I were the mad ducker, I would have definitely ducked him. Further proof of my innocence.

I did not heed the warnings

I did not get my Cootie shot.
A simple circle circle dot dot dot
Would have staved this odd onslaught
But instead what I have wrought
Is spreading faster than it ought
This malady that I have caught
For which solutions I have sought
And come up with exactly naught
Is proving much worse than I thought
No potions or pills can be bought
For Cooties can not be uncaught
To the unaffected within earshot
Do not forget your Cootie shot
Circle circle dot dot dot

Proper Way to do a Cootie Shot

Dedicated to +Mz Maau and +Keith Cramer, whose tireless efforts to eradicate Cooties from G+ is an inspiration to us all! Not a day goes by that I don't look at the Cootie ravaged populace around me and point and laugh thank my lucky stars and blue moons for Mz's and Keith's selflessness. Some say that they actually engineered the virus themselves in a secret Canadian lab to reap the benefits of their upcoming book, "The Cootie Sutra". To that, I say, "Balderdash!" I looked that up and learned it maybe came from the Medieval Latin word balductum.Well, that just makes me giggle! Can you imagine a bunch of irate guys in togas running around yelling, "Balductum!" Ah, but I digress. Cooties is a very serious subject, and this video has absolutely nothing to do with promoting tie-in books; and especially not my own forthcoming title, "51 Shades of Cooties". Balductum! 😉

Special thanks to +Kristi Fahlsing for allowing her inoculation to be video taped.

Innovative Thinking vs. Corporate Thinking

197 scientists told this boy no. Why? Because we are a culture where innovation has been almost totally corporatized. Ideas like this effective and ridiculously cheap test for pancreatic cancer die on the vine, and for what reason? Because a 15-year-old thought of it? Because an outsider to the scientific "club" thought of it? Because the solution is inexpensive to the consumer? At 15 years of age, this boy still has his idealism; it has not been beaten out of him and forged into a defeatist attitude or life long apathy. I hope it never will.

My G+ Mystery Dream Guest Revealed

A few days ago, I revealed that, for the first time a fellow G-plusser had jumped from the virtual and into my dreams. (http://goo.gl/ZHkAH). Cue flashback music…

I was in my office typing on the laptop. My Daughter was there too, just outside the door. I could not see her, but I could hear her talking to someone. Suddenly, I was standing, ready to walk out of my door. I was holding a six-shot Nerf blaster gun, looking very Hollywood ready to spring out of my doorway. I somehow knew that Daughter was leading someone to where the Nerf Vulcan automatic rifle was hidden (25 round self-feeding magazine firing 3 shots per second). I fired a cover shot as I jumped through into the outer office area, but Daughter and company had disappeared into the server room. I hugged the wall as I slid up to the entrance and peered inside, but I could not see them. I fired a round into the room, only four shots left now. If they got the Vulcan loaded and hot, I stood no chance. If it was going down, it was going down on my terms. I jumped into the room, sticking the landing perfectly, gun aimed toward the only hiding place. There under the server desk crouched daughter and beside her, loaded Nerf Vulcan pointed at me in a Mexican standoff, was…

+Yoon-Mi Kim!

I could see in her cold, dark eyes that she was looking to stick several suction cupped darts to my glasses; there was no air of possible diplomacy or negotiation. As triggers on both sides were pressed… I woke up.
