DIY Cloud Lights

I absolutely love this project. I'm not sure where I would hang these right now, but I'm dying to try it. Now I also need a "sun" and maybe some kind of "rainbow" effect to go with it… then some controlled wispy fog in the top third of the room. It would be cool to add a lighting effect to the clouds to make them bright, like on a sunny day, or dark and brooding like thunderclouds.

Ideas?

Awesome! DIY Cloud Lights

How amazing would these look hung around your house, in a private reception! And super easy to make too!!

What you will need:
– Cotton Batting (or cleansing pleats)
– Paper Lanterns
– Flameless Candles (Ideally Super Cool LED ones)
– Hot Glue Gun (quantity depends on the number of lanterns, their size and the brightness you want.)

Be sure that little or no heat is generated by the super cool flameless candles. Don't leave your beautiful creation unattended.

Step by Step instructions:
1. Pull at the cotton batting until it looks fluffy, light, and cloud-like.
2. Hot glue it to the outside of the paper lantern in various places.
3. Light the candles and stick them inside.
4. Hang the lantern wherever you'd like.

Dollar Shave Club CEO is the Man

The video for Dollar Shave Club came out and went viral a while back. I love the originality and humor. I never knew for sure if the guy in the video was really the CEO and finally got around to looking today. If anyone else is curious, yes, he really is the founder and CEO of the company. They make me wish I shaved with a blade.

Light at the End of the Tunnel

School Cemetery?

Back in the distance, of the first picture, you can see a school (the big building). Yes I said a school.

I have driven by this cemetery soooo many times! And each time I have said to myself…why exactly would they build their new school behind a cemetery?? creepy! The second picture was taken only because I liked the color of the sky. 🙂

When I turned around to head back to the van, I noticed there was a HUGE cardboard box under the van…seems I had been dragging it for many miles. I tugged and tugged at it! I could not get it out from under the van! As the kiddos were laughing at me and my inability to detach the cardboard, one of the kiddos got out of the van and was able to slide the cardboard out as if it were only "laying" under the van! grrr. LOL! So…the rest of the trip home all four of them were laughing at how a 15 year old outsmarted me.

Return of the Virtual House Guest!

For reasons too long to explain in a quick post, I have a +Jim Gomes big head mask (surf my Thursday/Friday posts). Anyway, daughter has two of her cousins over for a sleep over. I went upstairs to search for a movie and I heard daughter leading one of them up the stairs, and him bumping into things. I was like, "Huh?" They cleared the top of the stairs and the reason she was leading him was that he was wearing the +Jim Gomes mask!!! Oh, me laugh hard! I said, "Oh, you found +Jim Gomes! One of her cousins thought it was David Hasselhoff and the other thought it was Mitt Romney! Oh, laughing so so hard!!!

A logical fallacy happens when someone's argument is wrong due to flawed reasoning. A site created by Jesse Richardson, Andy Smith and Som Meaden warns, "They're like tricks or illusions of thought, and they're often very sneakily used… Don't be fooled!"

The site helps you identify and call out "dodgy logic wherever it may raise its ugly, incoherent head." When someone commits a logical fallacy, link them to the relevant fallacy to "school them in thinky awesomeness and win the intellectual affections of those who happen across your comment."

Little Rebels by James Hance

I also read on another G+ post that he is using proceeds to help a child. I bought the print below and am likely to buy the print for "Hugs for Maddy!"

When I posted "Command Me" this morning (http://goo.gl/Janvi), +Mz Maau tried to throw me. I have recently come to the conclusion that she is an alien. As a result she commanded, "Discover my proof. Post the logical conclusions."

She's a tricky one. There is no proof, therefore she would have me chasing leprechauns and unicorns trying to back up my "she's an alien" theory. The fact that she knows I don't give up, and she would tell me to find her proof, thus insuring I would keep going until I found said proof, proves that there can really be no proof, or she would not have set me on the mission. Check and mate, alien infiltrator. Check and mate. Oh, and here's your song.

"Smart" Phone Technology

So, when I told users to "Command Me" this morning (http://goo.gl/Janvi), +greg gregory commanded me, "take a self portrait on your phone then use the phones setting and only the phones seting to doctor it as silly as possible."

In an interesting twist, Greg posted (http://goo.gl/X6tVt) that after thinking about it, he couldn't ask someone to do something he wouldn't do himself. He is a stand-up righteous dude. So, here are BOTH Greg *and* myself in all our "smart" phone glory! 😉

Hotdog Hygiene

Well, it's been a day. This morning I posted for people to "Command Me" (http://goo.gl/Janvi) and so they did. +Bud Hoffman commanded that I brush my teeth with mustard. I had already brushed this morning for +Mai'ta L'yeya Nava so I held off until the evening brushing.

It wasn't as bad as I thought. During. It kind of lingered afterwards, even after a regular brushing which sufficed to give me a sort of minty mustard aftertaste. Oh, and now my toothbrush is stained yellow. Thanks Bud!
