Elderly in prisons. Prisoners in nursing homes.

Read Sheldon's post. It makes more sense than most of what we've got going on in Congress right now. Maybe we can get him elected… ๐Ÿ˜‰

Place the elderly in prisons. They will get a shower a day video surveillance in case of problems, three meals a day, access to a library, computer, TV, gym … Put criminals in nursing homes. They have cold meals lights off at 20h, one bath a week, live in a smaller room and pay $ 2,000 a month !!!!! its sad but true and it is goning to get worse we who are reaching this age need to band together and FAST..Copy and paste

Confessions of a Superhero

Maybe it's because I woke up on the couch this morning. Maybe because I'm feeling introspective. This image resonates with me.

If you didn't feel insignificant before…

This was well worth clicking and taking a moment to follow it through from beginning to end. I knew panel one, and part of panel two, then after that, I had no idea how small we were on our little blue orb with our (I now know) little yellow sun!

Dear God by XTC. Seems timely these last couple years…

Had they made the video today, I could see images of protests in the Middle East and the effects of Wall Street devastation here in the U.S. But, instead enjoy classic 80's video elements like people in trees and backwards video. Ah, nostalgia.

Gorilla Holding a VW Bug, Leicester, Vt.

According to the owners of Pioneer Auto Sales, just south of Leicester, Vt., the conversation that led to their lawn's hosting a giant gorilla holding a Volkswagen Beetle went something like this: When they asked local artist T.J. Neil to make a statue for the dealership, Neil responded, "How about a giant gorilla?" When they asked why a giant gorilla, Neil replied, "So I can make him hold a car." The owners' conclusion: "Sure, but make his other hand stretched down, so people can sit in it." Even if you don't need a new car, you can sit in the gorilla's right hand and stare in amazement at the golden VW Bug held 19 feet aloft in his left hand.

Intestinal Distress Journal (auto posted)

Day 5. The lavatory has become a place of great emotional distress. I approach the entrance with much trepidation; akin to the first time a shark attack victim returns to the water, I would think. We're hard-wired for survival, we human animals, and by instinct avoid places of pain or danger. However physically impractical, I've started thinking of ways of rerouting my trip downstairs to avoid any proximity to porcelain. This is going to require a rope ladder thrown from the upstairs bedroom window to the downstairs back porch area. Years of couch research on networks like Discovery and Science Channel come back to me like Army survival training and I see how I might fashion rope out of previously embarrassing cast-off clothes that shrank in the dryer over the past year somehow. Pristine tomes filled with advice on self improvement might finally find themselves useful as a counterweight to an intricate pulley system I envision for lowering my essentials too bulky for climbing; laptop and Costanza wallet.

Day 9. The room has become almost unlivable. It turns out I spent far more time researching Cartoon and Syfy channels than Dicovery and Science. My Wile E. Coyote attempt at a rope ladder and pulley system for my escape was a failure of Rube Goldberg proportions. I now rue the day I purchased that collector's edition anvil from Home Shopping Network. The "incident at the window," as it is now known, somehow managed to catapult my internet router and cellphone over my back porch leaving me without connection to the outside world; and a large bump on my head from the anvil. I am trapped, subsisting on rationed cough drops and Tums from my computer bag, along with the liquid from inside my old college lava lamp.

Day 16. I've programmed the laptop to post my survival journal online if I don't make it, and providing a neighbor's wireless network opens up for just a moment. I've read all of the self improvement books, and though I now understand the intricasies of keeping a mate, losing weight, and organizing my world, there was nothing to help me overcome paralyzing commode fear. On the plus side, the medication I was taking cured any vestiges of intestinal distress. On the minus side, with no storage totes and old copies of Wired magazine left, I am soon to become like an uncivilized animal in the forest; I fear this would void my renter's deposit. With my renewed internal fortitude, and high on menthol flavoring, I am going to attempt escape through the main door.

Tell my family I love them. And not to eat at the new Mexican joint across the street.

Reverse Image Searching with TinEye

Have you ever come across a photo or image with no information and you want to find out more? I've used TinEye to help track down the artists of uncredited photos I've seen in shares on Google+. If you can find the image elsewhere, you stand a fair chance of finding some credits for it.

From their website:
TinEye is the first image search engine on the web to use image identification technology rather than keywords, metadata or watermarks. When you submit an image to be searched, TinEye creates a unique and compact digital signature or 'fingerprint' for it, then compares this fingerprint to every other image in our index to retrieve matches. TinEye does not typically find similar images; it finds exact matches including those that have been cropped, edited or resized.

If you're not in the mood to think, move along…

I stopped at the post by +Emilio Boronali originally just to listen to John Lennon singing Revolution. I like the song and saw the YouTube video just begging me to press play. While it was playing, I wondered why he posted it and in cart-before-the-horse fashion read his post. Very thought provoking. I encourage you to read and digest it, and comment on his original thread; I'm not looking to steal his thunder, just to share his words.

Lets talk true for a while[Oh my Gawd Yet an Other Social Experiment!]

We are not the X or Y or Z Generation,
We are not the Post-industrial Generation,
We are not the transhumanist Generation,
We are not the Internet Generation,

We are the Talkative Generation… We behave and act nonstop by words and even by pics trying desperately to find any needless performativity into our statements.

We are addicted to spread the news about what is wrong in our world and think that by revealing what is supposedly behind the curtain, we'll help it change. But we are wrong.

We pour sometimes some cuteness in our expression to help us keep on believing in hope and share the fact that everything is not wasted. But we are wrong.

We see consumption as a dead-end but we rush for the next smartphone. We are revolted by sweatshops and children work but we don't mind wearing clothes labeled 'Made in China'. We all agree on ' bio (logical) food' but we keep on stopping by the next " M " drive-in.

We like to gargle around that "The Medium is The Message" but we all know that we as a medium are at the end filled with void. So the message – our message – can't last more than the time needed to type it and that "retweet" it won't give it any duration…

So just for a minute, can you think and tell what you genuinely do to make your world a better place ?

And don't serve me the "I turn the water off while brushing my teeth" because it is a total bullshit and deep inside of you : you know it!
