It's not all that high, when you think of it in perspective to other things; buildings downtown, plane rides, looking down from a mountain. But something about its non-permanence makes it scarier, higher. Overnight it just popped up in the grass field of the local fairground. It traveled in behind a semi trailer all folded up in paint peeled pieces like an old Transformer toy. Carnival workers with accents and missing teeth erected it and operate it while gawking at local teen girls in their summer shorts. Yes, it's miles upon miles high! ?
