Blurry eyed philosophy this morning. Sometimes we just aren't where we think we are and maybe we don't know where we're going, but hey, try and enjoy the ride. Don't blame me, I'm just paraphrasing Batman. 😉

At least the power balance is portrayed appropriately.
Have a great Monday Scott.
And to you Mr. +Dirk Reul 😉 I think you are further advanced in your Monday, are you not?
Indeed I am, It is 1 pm now 🙂
I might leave early today because I will be performing systemwide updates for my CRM system tonight which may take a few hours and I can only start at 8:00 pm in same cases even later. So, my working Monday will be extended into the night.
Proprietary CRM or what do you use? Curiousity
It probably not known in the US but used heavily in Germany and quite a few other countries, more designed for medium sized companies http://www.cas.de/en.html
I also work with Siebel and HP Service Manager but I am really an expert when it comes to CAS, extremely flexible in all regards, can be heavily customized while still retaining full support by the manufacturer. Very neat 🙂
We developed ours in-house; I am always curious about what is out there and how they work.
Which part would you be interested in?
There are a few limits of course, the DB structure is really complex and while I know parts of it, I try not to change anything directly in the DBs if possible.
We used to use a in-house version but that was in the end, too expensive and not nearly flexible enough. Having the support structure of a well placed company to fall back up on and have them do bug fixing is really a nice thing. The fact that I can easily create completely new data objects and create masks to use them, including logic and the ability to use formulae in the form designer makes this extremely powerful.
Server/network based or web based? Or… I can just go look at the link you sent! lol
Well, yes 😛
Server Client based, only the application server perform changes in the DBs. Fully capable of replicating all changes to a second domain (system domain) this being fully redundant without having to use replication of the MS SQL DB, you can also use Oracle if you are nuts 🙂
There are web based clients as well, limited functionality of course compared to the Fat client but they are there. IOs and Android Apps as well as Mobile Sync available for Appointments and Addresses etc.
Complex and powerful notification system available that also allows me to automate notifications and changes based upon criteria of my choice.
