In the not-too-distant future

Internet archaeologists exploring off the grid stumbled upon what appears to be an extinct social media site. In an attempt to determine it's identity, GUI experts were called in to navigate the jumbled architecture and tumbleweeds. After an exhaustive search, the privacy settings were finally found and decoded. One last post remained visible on a crumbling wall, "I have not seen a shared status in months. If anyone out there is reading, please, please, just 'Like' me…" From there the post faded in and out with mentions of farm animals and mafia wars, finally ending with the initials of who is thought to be the social site's last user, "M Z". With thanks to the Library of Congress, photos of the site have been included.
