Greaser Batman

From the website: "Note: In recent Batman stories we’ve seen renditions of how Batman would have appeared in past historical times, but after seeing this submission by Denis Medri I feel like DC missed out on something big time. Hailing from Italy, this artist dreamt up a 1950s greaser Batman that is startling at how great it is. “Greaser Batman” might seem pretty cliche, but seeing Medri’s illustration here it comes off as a no-brainer. And check out that souped up Batmobile!"

Captain America Customized Figure

Yesterday and today I have been looking at the amazing custom comic book and science fiction figures that artists create. Here is another one! I especially love the uniform and backpack on this one.

From the artist: "This fellow was made with a crappy Wolverine figure from a few years back, and a Lord of the Rings figure's head (a ceremonial guard, I believe). The outfit was crafted from fabric and leather, the mask was sculpted from Apoxie Sculpt, and the shield was made from styrene."

More pictures and information at the artist's site:

Steam Wars

From the artist, "I love the clunky old-fashioned look of the industrial era. It is kind of steampunk, but not really, which is why I changed the name of the line. It is influenced by Jules Verne, HG Welles, Terry Gilliam, Guillermo Del Toro, etc. But I feel it has my own unique sensibilities as well."

Fort Wayne, Indiana Jones

I think they'd be more likely to find Jimmy Hoffa here.

I snapped this shot as I was cruising through downtown Fort Wayne today. I think they may have discovered the Ark of the Covenant.

I would totally wear this. I wonder how long it would take someone (who did not already know me) to notice I was a Geek and not a Prep. 😉

It started with something I read on +Kristin Milton's stream (http://goo.gl/Q6v4c) and when mixed with some late night punchiness ended up as this latest #gplususermashup ! 😉

Everybody Have Fun Tonight by Wang Chung

First, get through the day. Unless you are at the end of the day wherever you are, then start now. Does the shaky video at the beginning remind anyone else of Jacob's Ladder (movie)?
