The always inimitable +Doug Savage, a man whose canvas needs not be bigger than a post-it, and a gentleman who takes time to even sign the birthday cards of the likes of +Keith Cramer. Seriously, if you have chuckled at no less than three (see what I did, there? <3 ) of his comics, then buy his book to sit in your living room. I have it. Keith has it. What are you waiting for?! Thanks to their hospitality and generosity, we were able to make some interesting images….and have a lot of fun in the process!" More photos at Richard's site. Check them out!
From the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, "Samantha Kaczor (light blue), Maggie Ellington (black) and Claire Bockhop (red) of the Gwinnett Ballet Theatre take their place before a Gwinnett Braves game at Coolray Field. The dancers were invited as part of a fund-raising event in which the Braves assisted the Gwinnett Ballet Theatre."

A couple weeks ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Joe at the Summit City (that's Fort Wayne) Comic Con. The artwork on his #1 issue caught my eye and once I got to talking with him, I really liked where he was coming from as a comic artist.
His Brit & Ivy characters are based off his daughters' personalities. Being a father of an 11-year-old girl myself, that made the book even better. His humor reminds me of Phineas and Ferb and The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy (from a little ways back). Check out the "Groovy!" on the front cover and you can see some Army of Darkness influence. Also, check out the throne of skulls and bones on the cover!
Great guy with a great attitude. I bought his #1 issue and got it signed while at the Con. Check him out at the following links and show him a little love. ALSO, drop him a line (jpruitt0692002@yahoo.com) and tell him to get his HINEY over to G+ and stop trolling over at Facebook. I think the community here will be so much better for him. 🙂
