So, the writing was on the wall. The dice had been cast. The fat lady was singing. THIS IS SPARTA!!! Sorry. I get carried away when I fall asleep the past several nights staring at brackets containing warped versions of my brother +Keith Cramer. In the interest of drawing things expediently, yet fairly, to a close, I ruled that the disparity in points was not going to be overcome so I called it before anyone got hurt. 😉

Apparently two hamburgers can not beat two melons, even with my brother's head attached. Somebody somewhere is getting a therapy bill.

Grungy brother gunslingers beat easy listening. My faith in reality might have been shaken otherwise. Sorry Bearman.

+Kyla Myers vs. My Daughter 12 to 5
Laser eyed shark zapped, cooked, and ate my daughter's giraffes. I hope you are proud of yourself Miss Myers. Although… those particular giraffes were an abomination of nature and creeped me the heck out. On second thought, pass the BBQ.

I really thought this one would be a closer race! "Sexy" wins over Geek.

+Kristi Fahlsing vs. +Emilio Boronali = 7 to 8
Very close race on this one! Truly this one was difficult for me to decide. There were two radically different approaches to the contest. One classic photo edit and the other an homage to Big Head Jim and done in real life.

+Mark Drysdale vs. +Allen Simpson = 9 to 7
To me, this was a surprise! I would have bet that the Geek-tastic meme-oriented image would win hands down!

+Mellie B vs. +Nunzia Nullo = 17 to 2
This was the biggest blow-out of the voting! I think the interpretation of not having Keith's actual face in the graphic worked against Nunzia. Well, that, plus the fact of the line drawing being an early favorite for the sheer wash-your-eyes-with-bleach aspect of it!

Captain & Tennille trumps Hairy Slave Princess Leia. It was a toss up.

I chose the Sweet Sixteen and that by itself was difficult! I limited spots to one entry per user so even though +Allen Simpson and +Kyla Myers had about a hundred entries each, only one could make it into the voting! Beyond that, I chose the geekiest or most groan-worthy or most creative entries. Entries also had to feature Keith as the star, still be recognizable as Keith (i.e., not too much mascara), and big enough to see it's Keith. Super geeky elements or elements that showed a knowledge of Keith or myself and posts we have been involved in received some extra points.

Last week, I started a photo contest with the goal of modifying the image of +Keith Cramer in any way possible and with any skill level. I was supposed to announce a winner this past weekend, but, (1) we were still having fun with it, and (2) I could not figure out a winner from all the fun entries! Questionable Content is one of my all-time favorite online comics (I highly recommend starting at the first one and reading non-stop straight through to current). During breaks from the regular strip, Jeph Jacques often resorts to this bird and simple text; normally skippable (sorry Jeph). This time… blammo! Dead-on political commentary!
