Looks like a really fun and cute card game, especially if you have kids (although, I'd play it even if I didn't). I like to look around Kickstarter.com and saw this for the first time today. I'm on the edge… will probably back the project with at least enough to get the card game when it comes out! 😉

How does the writer / illustrator partnership work? Does a writer write and then hire an illustrator? Does a publishing house put the two together? If a writer writes a story needing illustration, but does not have a publisher, how does that work; i.e., without an outlet for the work guaranteeing any sales or advance? Is self publishing an option, and then, how does the partnership work?

I was going to hit up Google, but thought, perhaps, with the number of writers and illustrators here, some of you might have comments…

Rhett & Link are fantastic even at the worst of times. But this concept is pure genius!

I needn't say more, as they explain at the beginning. While the original script isn't exactly inspired, or even particularly interesting, the caption translations are where the gold lies!

What's awesome, too, is that they clearly wrote the script with the intent of challenging the transcription. To see how well it would manage. And, well, there's a reason FAIL is in the title of this video…
