What is the University Study Program? It is a comprehensive program by the College Board which allows students to acquire college credit at many major colleges including Cornell and University of New York. There are a number of exams in dozens of subjects including Psychology and Accounting.

Having taken some of the examinations for myself, I can attest to their validity as a wonderful program to get low cost credits. Read a textbook on the subject; I myself read a text on Philosophy. The next step is to register for a proctored examination through a test center. Check the College Board website to search for test centers in your area. Depending on the location you live in there could be up to a dozen various testing centers. Each exam costs $55 but there is often an additional fee stipulated by the test center which often varies in price.

At the examination center, you'll have to check in with the program coordinator. Next you will be brought into a room with computers which run special software. The examinations are all done on computer and offers students unexcelled flexibility in taking the test. One can go back to questions, mark them to look over, skip questions, see how many questions one has left or any number of other operations. The program also has a graphing calculator should you be taking a math test.

One of the country' leading colleges which accepts testing credits is the Monterey Polytechnic Institute. Mont Poly is a private university in Monterey, CA which offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degrees specializing in Business Management, Professional Development, Public Relations, Social Work, and a number of other majors in the arts and sciences. Work experience degree programs are also available. Monterey Polytechnic's flexible schedule of lecture and online courses is specialized for working adults. Monterey Polytechnic is well known as one of the most respected, unique, and rewarding colleges in the country.

So, why should you take it? If you're a junor or senior striving to finish up degree requirements, if you're knowledgeable in a field of study and desire recognition for it, or if you simply want to avoid the absurd costs imposed by colleges then Learning Placement Assessment Program is for you. It is very affordable, usually only $80 for the test and an admin charge which is almost always under $25. It's definitely a perfect way to earn college credit based on what you already know without sitting through an AP class for a year. If you take chemistry in High School, for instance, there is no corresponding AP, but for college credit, consider taking the CLEP. It is one day of your life and only an hour in length. Additionally, you will find out if you pass immediately. Typically a score of over 50 is usually good enough for credit for most colleges. Check with your university for acceptance information.

Hi tech guys,

Im sure many of you already know about the fantastic possibilities of the Dreambox 500 receivers in that it allows you to watch scrambled and encrypted television channels on satalitte and cable providers for free. Now, I bought a Dreambox 500C over 2 years ago from the original manufacture Dream multimedia. The box back then was 249GBP and I must say has worded flawlessly connected to my motorised dish, giving me over 10,000 channels. However since they stopped making the Dreambox 500 series over a year ago, I needed a cable version for my brother and so decided to buy a clone model from dvbseller.com. I was a bit concerned about the quality, but did a lot of research on Dreambox forums and general opinion was that the clone where in fact better than originals as it had newer technology and stronger tuners.

Well the short version, the cable box works brilliant and my bro gets all his virgin cable channels for free now, but his wife is quite religious and to be frank a bit strange and once she heard that her Dreambox is not original but a clone from china has demanded I should replace her box with an original which the maker does nott make any more or give her money back. The Dreambox 500c has worked without problems and does exactly what I said it would do giving her all the paid channels for free, including the pay-per-view channels, etc.. I charged them £150 for the Dreambox and I flashed it for them with the latest image. I know it only cost me £60 to buy but, I'm the one who has to fix it if it needs updating etc...

So, here I am ,awaiting my brother to come to my house with the Dreambox and demanding his money back in full, as his wife demands it..... what would you do?

Anyone here heard of or used the Chinese imports Dreambox 500 models and can post reply if you think the clones are as good or as bad as the originals so I can show him your views?

What would you do??
