I would agree that a country trying to pull a California is terrible. California tried to include Eubonics, recognizing "like" as punctuation, and has a reputation for beach language where syllables are fossil fuels. There are nations that are founding now, soon might be a Kurdish state as well as a breakup and reforming of African nations. These are examples of real, however limited changes, but to attract people to a place by paying a town, for instance to rename itself, is an American stupidty thing to do and shows poorly on those who do it.
